Mwanzo Wetu Health Services Opens the Health Clinic!

We are very excited to share that the health clinic in the newly constructed community center has opened and is beginning to serve the community! Through trained clinical staff, Mwanzo Wetu Health Services has begun to provide basic health care services. Once the clinic is fully equipped, it will provide dental care, AIDS monitoring, diabetes treatment, X-Rays, sickle cell therapy, training of community health workers and more. This new clinic brings much needed health care to the people of Rabuor and surrounding areas.

On the first day members of the community received multiple rapid tests, including for malaria, blood sugar, and high blood pressure.

Children from the community will receive services at the clinic. Approximately 15% of Mwanzo Wetu Center of Excellence Academy (MWCEA) students are HIV-positive, and the clinic will make a significant impact on their lives.

Rev Kenneth Arodi and the clergy of St Mathews ACK Rabuor conducted prayers at the opening of the clinic.

Mwanzo provides deworming medicine to our children. This picture shows Caren, a teacher who has been trained to manage the program. After 2024 it will be administered as part of the health clinic program.

Patients wait to be seen on the opening day of the new clinic.
